(1) No, the cheap machines you see on Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, or Made in China or just that. They are cheap because they are made from cheap materials and will operate much like the expensive professional models for a while before they break or stop working, and there is no place to get them repaired. Machines like shockwave machines use air compressors and generate moisture, and after a few months use the internal parts begin to rust and seize up because they are not made from stainless steel like the professional models are.

These machines are fine for limited personal use but are not made to stand up to daily use in a doctor’s office. So, I you are purchasing a machine to use in your practice then stay away from these machines and don't waste your time and money because they will not hold up. (2) Mabe, but not necessarily. The tricky thing about buying machines from China is that they don’t have very strong copyright laws there. So,
the machine you think you are getting is a knockoff of the original manufacturer’s high quality machine.

If it is something simple like the touchscreen needs to be recalibrated, we can speak with you over the phone to walk you through the steps to calibrate it. If the touchscreen has gone bad, we can send you a new one that you can replace it yourself in around 15 minutes.
